Often, we hear mentors say, ’I am not doing anything…I just turn up!’  Turning up:  being there; listening, prodding, helping girls to unravel the complexities of their world or emotions. Turning up is powerful, which makes us so grateful to our volunteer mentors…

Fearless Women hosted a morning tea at the National Library of Australia to express our heartfelt gratitude. CEO Glenda Stevens thanked our Fearless Mentors for listening, delivering kindness and providing significant support to mentees.

Morning tea was followed by a guided tour of the massive, historic halls of the National Library and learned about the age-old process of borrowing a book.

We now have 81 young women and girls whom mentors help, shepherd and guide through their individual journeys, as they learn about themselves, the world around them and they meld the two together.
